When I first started to look into natural and holistic approaches to my health I had read in an article by Richard Schulze which he later included in his book 5-Day Bowel Detox (Schulze, 2009) that stated the average American was 70,000 shits shy of normal by the end of their life (p. 25). Since there has been so much talk over the last handful of years about how important your intestinal health is to your general health, this number is alarming. As time goes by I will be posting about the various ways to restore your gut bacteria and clean out your intestinal tract in a safe and healthy manner. But for now, I am going to talk about making the process of taking a poop easier. For those of you that struggle with hemorrhoids, or just struggle to go at all, using a Squatty Potty takes a lot of the pressure off of going to the bathroom (pun intended).
I have been using a Squatty Potty for quite a while now. At first, I liked it so much that when I was away from home, if the house I was at did not have one, I would rig something up to put my feet on. Now, having spoiled myself and getting tired of having to make doo, I take mine with me. Before too long, I am going to get a fold up travel one. I am excited that I have been able to become an affiliate with the Squatty Potty company. This means I make a bit of money when you click one of the links I have posted to their website and make a purchase.
